- Jesus prints some warnings in big letters (Matthew 23 and 24)
A. Don’t play church! (and he gives examples)
B. Don’t cross your fingers!
C. Change or else!
D. It’s going to be tough.
- But no one knows when the “day” will happen (*Matt. 24:36-41)
A. An announced date will never be the one (24:26).
B. Blissful ignorance will rule, right up to the end.
C. The divine sorting will happen before anyone knows it.
- So here is what we will do and not do (*Matt. 24:42-51)
A. We will keep watch, and be ready.
B. We will be caught fulfilling our assignments.
C. We will not play the fool.
- And here’s how we will be ready (*Matt. 25:1-13)
A. We will have our lamps burning today.
B. We will have our lamps burning tomorrow.
