Jesus warns us that there is more to true righteousness than what we usually hear.

• There is more to righteousness than modeling “acceptable” outward behavior.

• There is more to righteousness when we mix together God-like attitudes with God-honoring actions.
  » Jesus describes true righteousness as a lifestyle with God at the center.
  » This is our higher calling — strive for it! (v. 48)
