Tom grew up in various towns in Ohio: Middletown, Weston, Barberton and Hubbard. He graduated from Hubbard High School and then did his undergraduate work at Kentucky Christian College. He received his Master’s degree from the Cincinnati Bible Seminary.

Tom was ordained in 1979 and began his Christian Ministry at the Gahanna Church of Christ. He has been the Minister of Children’s Education at Worthington Christian Church since 1999.

Tom credits his parents, Ken and Marjorie as having the most impact on his Christian walk. "They provided me with a firm foundation for my faith and an example of Christ-like character to follow."

Tom has been married to Carolyn since 1981. They have four children, Tim, Mark, James and Joy.

Tom's desire for Worthington Christian is "that we will continue to grow together in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ." (2 Peter 3:19).
